5 out of 5 stars I Use It All The Time...   September 4, 2010
Mercedes L. Johnmeyer (Kingsland, GA)
I picked up the Total Pillow at the Navy Exchange on a whim. I'd seen the commercials, it was cheap, so I threw it in the cart. I love it! As I type this my Total Pillow is folded in half sitting on my lap (I like to sit in my desk chair with my legs up in a loose Indian style with the pillow wedged between my stomach and thigh). I use this this every time I get on the computer, and it's been a God-send for long car trips. I usually always brought a pillow from our bed, but as they're king size pillows, it was a HUGE pain to have to lug it around and try to position comfortably. Total Pillow is really ideal for napping in the car (I know I sound just like the commercial, but really, it's a great thing to have).

Now, I know some people had issues with seams coming apart, and that would definitely suck, but I haven't had this problem, and I've been using mine everyday for about a month. At this point, if a seam WERE to rip, I'd just go right back to the NEX and get another one. I really do recommend this pillow. It's so versatile and a takes up almost no space, so you can throw it in the closet or in the car and it's not at all in the way.

1 out of 5 stars Poor Quality   August 30, 2010

I like to read in bed and used the Total Pillow as a neck support. It lasted 3 nights and then a tear happened and the teeny pellets used as stuffing spilled out. I had to get a small vacuum out to suck up the pellets from my bed. It cannot be salvaged, and I'm disgusted with this product.

we have 2 of these and really like them. But, one has split along one of the seams sending little white pellets all over. And the dye is not stable. Ours are blue and they leave violet colored stains behind.

Total Pillow lasted less than 1 hour before beginning to fall apart at the seams in three places. It was all we could do to bag the nasty thing and pitch it before it emptied itself of the tiny white beads all over the van. We were traveling, so we had already gotten out of reach of the store where we purchased it. I cannot recommend this product.

3 out of 5 stars Comfy For Some Things, Not So Comfy For Others   July 27, 2010

After having 6 babies in 7 years, my back is totally not the same...in fact, it's downright horrible.
(Although totally worth it!)

I am always going to the chiropractor, and in between those times, you can find me squirming, popping, and rubbing my poor, achy neck and back constantly.

When I had the chance to review Total Pillow, I had visions of being able to sit comfortably in my computer chair dancing in my head!
As Seen On TV products sometimes make me leary, but the people on the commercial really made this pillow look so comfy. It seemed like the perfect all-purpose pillow for any position, that I couldn't resist.

Total Pillow is so versatile, twisting and conforming to most any shape you squish it into...and holding it there! This flexibility makes it able to be used so many different ways. As a neck pillow, lumbar support, head rest, seat cushion, and more.

The first thing I noticed about Total Pillow was the luxurious feel of the fabric...super soft and velvety. Totally something I could get used to snuggling up with. The stitching looked very well made, but the tiny micro beads inside were a concern of mine, as they are definitely a choking hazard if the pillow rips.

This pillow is extremely firm. Which makes for great support. Albeit, for me, it was too much.
Looking at the picture on the box, I tried each of the different uses that were suggested. Some I liked, some I didn't.

Folded in half like a "C" for a neck pillow, I found it too firm and confining. I felt as if I couldn't turn my head or look at anything. I don't know if it's just my short little neck or what, but when hubby tried it that way, he looked equally uncomfortable, although he said it wasn't that bad.

I did think folding it in half with my arm looped through to use as a pillow on the couch, in bed, and even the table was very nice. I told my husband if he wanted to whip it out for a quick nap at his desk at work, this would be so awesome for that!
Of course he would never do such a thing, but one can dream, right?

As a seat cushion, it would be nice on a hard bench at a game, great for postpartum discomfort, or sitting on the floor with the children (since my keester isn't as young as it used to be!).

I loved the Total Pillow twisted as a lumbar support and folded in half as a back rest on my computer chair. This position was very comfortable and offered great support to my slouching, 30 year old bones.

Folded in half as a stomach pillow on the floor did not work for me. At all. Way to hard for this. But maybe with a little breaking in, it will be much nicer.

I really really wanted this pillow to work for me as leg support. I am almost pregnant every other year, as you know, and with my lumbering belly in the way, I love to place a pillow between my legs to help shift the weight off my hips. But when I folded Total Pillow and tried it out, it was again too hard. But maybe it's just me, as I am spoiled on fluffy comfort.

So if you are looking for a firmer pillow that is good for traveling, or just to multi-function around the house, the Total Pillow is a great value .
