5 out of 5 stars Takes a Little Getting Used To   September 6, 2010

I am a 5'1" female and snore mild to medium, depending on the day. This pillow greatly reduced my snoring almost every night. However, it takes time to "break in". The pillow is VERY firm at first, but softens up after about a month. It is difficult to get used to if you are a shorter person (neckaches for the first few weeks). However, it is worth it to have stopped snoring completely.

1 out of 5 stars SONA Anti-snore and Mild Sleep Apnea Pillow   August 1, 2010

I originally purchased this pillow from another vendor last year in the hope that I could obtain a better night's sleep as I have sleep apnea and can't use my C-PAP. Initially, I loved this pillow it was comfortable and I had no trouble sleeping and seemed to awake more refreshed. After two months of using this pillow I noticed some slight pain in my left shoulder muscle (I would sleep on my left side) whenever I would try to lift something heavier than 10 lbs. I'm 55 years old and hadn't done anything to strain my shoulder. About a week later, I was unable to lift my left arm out to the side and parallel to the ground without excruciating pain in my shoulder. I made a decision to stop using the pillow shortly afterward; after three months the pain went away. Six months later, my shoulder is fine and my pillow is now decorating my bedroom. Maybe others would be less prone to developing a pinched nerve with this pillow but I can't recommend it.

I did not snore because I did not sleep! The most uncomfortable pillow I have ever tried to sleep on. Only used it one night.

3 out of 5 stars Helps keep you on your side   July 14, 2010

I bought this a few months ago and am still using it. The pillow does help keep you sleeping on your side. If sleeping on your side eliminates your snoring, this pillow will help you. If you snore like a mack truck pulling a load of gravel up a hill, this probably will not help you too much. I tried this in conjunction with one of the anti-snore mouthpieces on Amazon and was told that it cut the noise to a dull roar but did not stop the snoring to the point where other people could still sleep in the same room. I think it does help me breathe a bit better at nite and am still using it. The only downside is an occasional sore neck if you sleep on it the wrong way. If you are a "light snorer" and have room in the bed for it, I would definitely suggest you try it. If you can overpower a chainsaw with your snore, you should probably head straight to a CPAP machine.

This product is simply a firm pillow, contoured to permit extending one's arm overhead on the side one is sleeping on. The contouring adds to the price but doesn't do anything to keep the arm tethered. I've often awoken to find my arm alongside my body. I could probably do better by loosely tying a ribbon from the bedpost to my wrist. And, since it's bedding, any hope of returning it for credit disappears.
