5 out of 5 stars Beautiful and organic   August 8, 2008

We just renovated our home and wanted something in the bedroom that looked pretty as well as having an organic feel. This product suited our needs. It is beautiful and weighty enough for the summer & will be perfect to be our bedspread in the winter.

1 out of 5 stars Why is this quilt so HARD and ROUGH???   February 5, 2008

I wanted this quilt because the color is lovely and the company *says* it is 100% cotton. Maybe this type of cotton was some kind of mutant, because it is not at all soft or comfortable. Instead, it's hard, rough & scratchy, and as heavy as a lead apron at the dentist's office. It literally would not drape over my bed -- the edges stood straight out from the corners and when I forced them down they make a crackley crunchy sound. I have washed it seven times so far and even soaked it overnight in liquid fabric softener a few times in an attempt to soften the fibers, but to no avail. I just can't imagine what this thing is made of -- it's not like any cotton item I have ever experienced. It feels like something you'd make a heavy waterproof tent out of. Certainly not something you want to curl up with or snuggle up under. If there's ever a nuclear holocaust, however, I will hide under this quilt, because I'm quite certain nothing will ever get through it. I am so disappointed and sad about this item.
