Great medium warmth duvet. Great quality. No complaints. December 10, 2008 A. Hamel (Northern California) I bought this for my daughter. She needed something really fluffy and cozy, yet not too hot. I researched the available products carefully, read many reviews, and finally decided on this one. I am very happy and have no regrets. Here are my observations: - It is medium warmth, as stated. - The cover is very good; many duvets have an issue with tiny feathers releasing anytime you try to fluff them. I did not find it translucent, or have no grey feather in mine. I have purchased a duvet cover. - It is big. Falls nicely over the sides of a twin bed.
So glad I bought this. November 25, 2008 Roberta Kellum (Israel) Back in 1984, I bought a Scandia Down comforter that cost $300.00. I don't know what that is equal to in 2008 dollars, but it was sure a lot even then. That comforter had a free-flow system instead of compartments for the feathers. The salesperson highly recommended the free-flow system. With that system, however, every night the feathers would fall down into the sides and every morning I would have to shake and shake the comforter to get the feathers equally distributed again. Finally I "woke up" and thought to myself, "Maybe Amazon has a good deal on a new comforter that has COMPARTMENTS for the feathers." And they did. And I bought it. And I am very happy with it. No more work every morning getting the feathers back into place. This comforter is so generously cut that at first I thought they sent me the wrong size. The fabric is a nice quality, and the comforter is snuggly-warm. I am very glad I found this on Amazon. I bought this in late winter/early spring (March), which perhaps is end-of-season because it was on sale for an unbelievable price: $112.99. I grabbed it at that price. Sure enough, some time later the price went back up.
comfort yes, quality not so much July 10, 2008 A. West (upstate, SC) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have had my down comforter for over 2 months. It's very warm, a bit too warm for SC summer, for my husband, but I love it. I love the comforter. I love that it's oversized and fits more like a comforter instead of a blanket. My only complaint is that the feathers are leaking out way too much. I have a duvet cover on mine and they still come through that. The material or thread count is not what it should be to hold the down better. No big feathers coming through just tiny ones. So if you don't have allergies and can handle some feathers coming through this is a great price for a comfy down comforter.
Love the Down Comforter! May 9, 2008 B. Horsley (Bountiful, Utah) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
When I first received this down comforter, I thought it was a bit skimpy- Not thick enough. But then I fluffed it out and put it in a duvet cover- Wow! I love it! It is perfect. I am a usually cold at nights and can't get warm enough- but this is the most wonderful warmth. I love the way you feel warm and yet it is so light on top of you. It feels as though you hardly have any covers on and yet you aren't cold. I recommend this product.
