Wayne Lawn Sprinking Pump works well, with proper setup September 16, 2008 J. Stikeleather The Wayne #PSL100 Lawn Sprinking Pump works well when properly set up. However care must be taken to ensure that the suction hose doesn't have too much volume which will make it hard to prime or too much flow resistance (too small a diameter or too long)which causes poor pumping performance at the pump outlet.
Very Effective Pump September 15, 2008 SidG (The Rocky Mountains, USA) This pump does a great job of moving water from our irrigation ditch to our garden, lawn, etc. The volume of water moved is awesome, we get incredible amounts of pressure. The pump is built like a tank: Amazon had packed it badly (no padding to speak of) and the hose outlets had punched holes in the box from being rattled around. Still everything worked fine. Note that our irrigation ditch is at ground level, so it only has to lift the water a few inches. Can't speak for how well it would work if it has to lift the water several feet...
Great pump-powerful September 12, 2008 Debs (Raleigh NC) I love this pump!!!I use it to increase pressure from my outdoor faucets and to pump water from my rain barrels to my lawn sprinklers. I looked into cheaper ones but they do not work well and only pump 15 out of 60 minutes. This pump works continuously. It is quiet and reliable. My yard is quite a slope - highest point 10 feet but this pump made my sprinklers throw water higher than they had ever done before. When it arrived, the stand was damaged and bent and when I called Amazon, they made a slight adjustment to the price for me. The damage did not affect the functioning of the item, so I was very happy (It just sits over to one side). Amazon also has the best price anywhere. I searched the internet for weeks - trust me......
Lawn Sprinkling Pump Rated as one star! August 13, 2008 Lester Taylor (Florence, Al. USA) I started using this pump in August and it worked very well. In October I tried to use it again and the motor would not run. I called the company and they were not helpful. They said that I could send it back for them to look at but they most likely would not fix it since I had used it for more than a couple of hours. So beware that the Wayne company will not stand behind the pump. They said that my pump had been thermally tripped and would not believe me when I told them that it had never been tripped. Now I know why there are so many Wayne pump products for sell as refurbished. If I send my pump back for repair, they will not repair it for me but will resell it as refurbushed. This is poor customer service. I will never purchase another Wayne product again.
Wayne Lawn Sprinkling Pump July 22, 2008 Thomas L. Johnson (Western North Carolina) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am using this pump in a shallow creek to water my lawn, and the neighbors and it works great! It does require a valve and screen and once you learn how to prime the intake hose, it is a real pleasure using the creek to help solve the drought problem instead of city water.
