Customer Reviews:
3 out of 5 stars linty and not as supportive as foam   April 29, 2010

I'm being generous with three stars here.

My RV sofabed is impossible to sleep on without a topper. I've been using a really nice foam topper that's getting too heavy to manipulate in my old age.

Pros: This fiber mattress topper is pretty. The outer fabric is soft and smooth.

It's lightweight and easier to manipulate than heavy foam. I store it behind the sofabed during the day, so I need something I can handle.

Cons: It's annoyingly linty. This thing coated the entire couch upholstery with lint that added many minutes cleanup time to making up the couch in the morning. If I continue to use it, I'll have to put a blanket or something on the couch under this pad. Yet another step in making and unmaking the sofabed. If I had known this, I wouldn't have bought it.

It's not nearly as supportive as an inch or two of foam. It crushes down to lumpy spots. The parts that fluff around you aren't supporting, they're more like just touching. I got a couple painful back twinges during the night.

It's hot. In summer it's going to be hotter.

I may have to go back to the foam. I want to give this a few more tries. The lighter weight is a huge factor, but I need at least some support.
