Product Description Did you know that every mattress needs a Protect-A-Bed Mattress Protector? FACT: Every night the human body loses a liter of body fluids through the skin pores and mouth, as well as millions of skin flakes. Unprotected mattresses thereby create the perfect breeding ground for bacteria and dust mites (a major cause of asthma, eczema and rhinitis). You can control this by fitting a Protect-A-Bed Premium Mattress Protector, which is also especially helpful in cases of incontinence. This fitted sheet style pad is sized to even fit pillow-top mattresses comfortably. Its cotton, terry-cloth fabric toplayer is soft and comfortable under your sheets. Guaranteed against leaks or tears for 10 years or the factory will replace the pad at no cost. (Twin Size: 38x75x14 in.) Wash before use for best results. Do not bleach or dry clean.

very disappointed October 27, 2008 J. Haber (Lawton, Oklahoma) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This mattress cover doesn't stay waterproof for very long. We put it on a sofa-style futon mattress that was on a covered, screened porch. Within about 2 months, we realized that the futon was very damp and smelly even though no rain had ever hit it directly. And we get very little rain in our area of the southwest, so that just goes to show how poorly the mattress cover performs in real life. It had seemed comparatively inexpensive, but ended up being a waste of money. And the company refused to honor their guarantee because they said, even though the futon was never directly rained upon and our porch is covered and screened, the mattress cover wasn't for outside use. But it doesn't even protect against occasional dampness in the air, and summertime temperatures make it go bad? That's just not right. I wouldn't use this company again even if they paid me.
Don't waste your money! August 26, 2008 Fanta (Seattle, WA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this mattress cover for my toddler during potty training. After a few washes, the waterproof coating started to blister and then break apart. I was disappointed, but figured, oh well, that's why I bought the one with a 10-yr warranty, I 'll just take it back, it must be defective. When I tried to return it, I learned that the warranty doesn't actually cover this situation (they claim that if this happens, your dryer must be set too hot) and not only that, but to make a warranty claim you had to have the original packaging. Ridiculous!! Who keeps the original packaging?? What a waste of $50!!!
Not Waterproof!! April 26, 2008 Lissa M. Franklin (Greenville, SC) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I ordered one of these to use while potty training. When it came I was really excited about the fact that it was not a noisy, bulky rubber sheet type of mattress protector. In fact, I liked it so much I ordered two more. They were great for a couple of washes. I followed the washing instructions and soon enough the waterproofing material started to get holes in it ans are no longer effective for waterproofing. In fact, we now have a ruined mattress on our hands. I was very disappointed..still am really. I guess it was too good to be true.
