Pacific Coast Feather Luxury Eurofeather Queen Mattress Topper

This is nice, but not anywhere that heavy ticking. Okay, it has a few points that Grannie's lacked. There are sewed channels to keep the feathers from moving about, but hey, there is not foot high fluffing up and jumping into it either. The elastic corners to keep it in place is nice, but it's so lightweight. Why can they not make them with the ugly grey and white striped ticking?

This is nice and it does help you rest, but not want I think most people are looking for in a feather mattress.

I had hoped this would be the "cloud-soft" solution to waking with aching bones in the morning. It is NOT soft and billowy as it appears in the picture and it did not provide the comfort I was needing. (For the record, my aches and pains were greatly diminished by placing a memory foam topper on my mattress. It was 130 dollars at Costco, but turned out to be worth every dollar. Highly recommend as an alternative to this product.)

Another family member tried this topper and woke up with scratches and irritation on his back. The sharp feather ends were working themselves through the topper cover and his fitted sheet. There seems to be a minimal amount of real down in this thing and a whole lot of broken feathers.

The cheap price is tempting, but this product is an example of the wisdom of the cliche' "you get what you pay for." Stick to quality and pass on this bargain stuff. Sleep is too precious to lose.

Its not as thick as i would expect. Although it did make sleeping on my hard bed a lot more comfortable. I just wish it was thicker.

This review refers to the "Pacific Coast Luxury Eurofeather Mattress Topper"(Queen)

I am a very frugal person(okay, okay, cheap!)and I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a new mattress, just because the one I have is older than dirt.(Just think of all the DVDs I could get with that money). I wasn't sleeping good. These boomer bones were feeling every spring. When I got up in the morning I was holding my back and making old people noises. So I decided to give this mattress topper a try.

Well I have to admit, I am sleeping much better now. This topper gives a wonderful cushion between my mattress and me.It is filled with 95% goose feathers and 5% down and is sewn into separate column-like sections so the feathers don't all wind up in a lump somewhere. It also has elasticized bands on each corner to hold it in place(I like that). Another nice feature is that the feathers have been sterilized and are non-allergic.(no feather smell either) And...No more old people noises when I wake up.

I'm going with 4 stars though, becuse as good as this sounds there are a couple of things that make it less than perfect. When it first arrived, it was very fluffy, but after a day or two it flattened out quite a bit. This is not a big problem because it's easy enough to fluff back up again, although never quite to where it was at first. The other drawback is that the instuctions for cleaning are for dry clean only(or professional laundering). This means that just when you get used to it, you'll have to part with it for a couple of days(unless you want to buy two)to have it cleaned. Also it's a little bit noisey(no.. it doesn't quack, just rustles a bit), but I can live with that!
