Product Description The First Years Close & Secure Sleeper lets you keep your child close with the reassurance that baby is snug, secure, and comfortable next to you in your bed. Sleeper is easy to transport. When your baby is ready for the crib, you can continue to use this sleeper for an easy transition.
Amazon.com Product Description The First Years deceptively simple Close & Secure Sleeper allows you to feed, soothe, monitor, and bond with baby in the comfort of your own bed. Meant to be used from birth until baby rolls over or pushes up on their own, the sleeper is anchored to your bed by a large flap that tucks under your mattress. The patented Airflow design of the hollow frame and breathable mesh fabric keep air circulating and baby cool. | | The sleeper folds up nicely for convenient portability and compact storage. | A durable, cloth-covered U-shaped "wall" surrounds baby's head and torso to limit their movement and help prevent parents from rolling onto them. The soft head barrier reduces the risk of entrapment, while the foot wedge--which can be used as a sleep positioner in future months--ensures baby stays snugly inside the sleep area. The supportive bottom is a cozy resting spot with the included soft cover, vinyl covered mattress, and removable, machine washable mattress sheet. Reassurance and safety weren't the only things The First Years folks thought of when creating this sleeper. Other benefits include its portability, a nightlight, and transitional use. For travel convenience, the Close & Secure folds up easily, is lightweight, and sports a carrying handle. Once baby has outgrown it, this feature means that it can also be compactly stored until needed again. A built-in nightlight allows you to quietly check on your bundle of joy during the night and provides enough illumination for feedings without waking your partner. When you are ready to transition baby to the crib, this sleeper can go with them--simply place it in the crib until baby is used to their new setting. Two AA batteries are required for the nightlight.

Good for co-sleeping July 13, 2010 K. Johnston (Oklahoma) I really like this little sleeper. It really does need to be put in a king size bed because it takes up a lot of room. The light is helpful. It would be nice if it was a little longer. My baby fits in it just fine but it may just work for a few months. I thought about ordering one of the others that is open but I was worried about the baby sliding down and not being protected by the side "walls". I think this one will be fine and I'm happy I chose this one. The one we were sent was white.
good but not too long ... July 12, 2010 Yogesh Jamdar this is a good product no doubt. however, for a child who is more than 24 inches long it is bit crampy.. the light behind frankly didnt help much... to answer in short.. this is worth a buy. period.
Best For King Size Beds July 11, 2010 Mrs. Ross My husband and I decided to buy this to facilitate better sleep for everyone. We love how it is like a "roll cage" to prevent us from rolling onto Baby. It has a night light which I find useful, and it's portable so we can fold it up and take it with us. It's also a portable bed for him. I had grand dreams of using it as I worked out with a DVD in the living room; Baby sleeping away. It's a great product, only we didn't realize that to maximize it's use, the bed should be a king (we have a queen). I'm 5'4" and 150 lbs (gasp, I can't believe I'm writing this for all to see), and my husband is 6'2" and about 170 (in case you're thinking, "maybe they're big people") The bed is about 2' across, and about 2.5' long. This sleeper took up about a good portion of our bed, and we had to squeeze in to sleep. Perhaps this would work if we slept on our backs in one position, but alas, we don't, and we had to return it.
So handy! July 6, 2010 alibear Although it's hard to co-sleep with this while breastfeeding, it's comes in handy when we travel or even go to someone's house. It is a bit short, my 2 month old already kicks her feet above the foot rest at the bottom, but it's still comfortable for her.
What took so long??? June 27, 2010 Holly Payton (Indiana) Sure wish this had been around when my children were born!! My daughter carries hers whenever she travels - perfect for a visit to Grandma's or a motel vacation, not to mention at home. My grandson can safely sleep in bed with his parents - no fear of rolling over on him, or of him rolling off. A WONDERFUL idea that took too long getting here!
